There is a closet in my house that I never open because if I did, everything would fall out. It's a closet in our study that served as the catch-all when we moved in 4 years...yes, 4 YEARS ago. But after reading Alene's post here, I was inspired to tackle what I have come to call "Pandora's Box". Because I have not seen any of this stuff in so long, I realized that each pile of clutter needed organizing in itself. For example, piles and piles of pictures have lived in this closet. Now they need their own space. And tax returns from the last several years really should be in a file of their own. And office supplies that I did not know I had...and the list could go on and on. It was pretty overwhelming because each item I "discovered" started a chain reaction on what to do with it. But I made it through and finished my weekend project with time to spare. So thanks, Alene, for the inspiration! I feel so much better now!

Good for you, DeeDee! It was probably refreshing to reclaim that space for you.
OH I have a few of those. I'm slowly working on them. Like Alene, I'm working on my office right now. My 10 year old son cleaned his closet today, with out my prompting!! I was surprised!
It feels so good to accomplish something!
Engrafted by His Grace--
Wow! What did you do with all the stuff?! Can you come to my house? I have a little padora's box epedemic myself!
Hey girl. Love the blog and I'm still smiling at a mother's pride. Love seeing your son praising God. I'm a bit of an organization nut (when I have the time) and was amazed by your closet. Way to go girl! Liette
Hey girl, you crack me up! I don't know how I missed this post but boy you did AWESOME! I have to say a MUCH better job than I. Now you have inspired me to tackle the closet in my office (I'm not sending pics of it - it is worse than Pandora's Box)! ha ha Blessings.
